Rally Oman - 2003 onwards

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Sport Affairs, Intevents in conjunction with the Oman Automobile Association has proudly implemented and managed the Rally Oman since 2003. Rallying in Oman and in the region can be dated back to 1979, where Oman was the first stop of a three round championship called the Middle East Rally Challenge.

Since then the Oman leg of the Middle East Rally Championship, as it is called now, has always been popular with drivers and the press alike and we expect the next Rally Oman to be a phenomenal spectacle for all. For more information on Rally Oman, please go to www.rallyoman.com 

Sinbad Classic - 2005 onwards

The Sinbad Classic Sport Fishing tournament is Arabia's premier sport fishing tournament. Intevents noticed the potential for such an event back in 2004 and decided to work with the government and the local fishing community to initiate this successful event.

The Sinbad Classic is also a qualifying event for the International Game Fishing Association's Offshore World Championships. The winners of the Sinbad Classic each year qualify to fish in this prestigious event, with the 2008 team doing extremely well and finishing 9th overall out of 63 teams representing 27 countries around the world.

The 2009 event proved to be a massive success with teams from South Africa, United States, New Zealand, Dubai, Kuwait, Lebanon, Abu Dhabi, United Kingdom and a host of local teams taking part for the amazing first prize of a trip to Cape Town, South Africa to fish off the world famous Cape Point. Having established its success in Oman, the event will be replicated internationally, starting with the Fujiarah Classic in UAE.

Intevents has new Sport Fishing events on the cards for 2009 which we feel will continue to successfully promote the region.

Fujairah Classic - October 2009

The Fujairah Classic will take place in Fujairah, UAE and is expected to draw in the region of 30 teams competing for the honours of champions. The tournament will be hosted by both the Fujairah International Marine Club and the Le Meridien Al Aqah hotel in the Emirate.

The Fujairah Classic will officially be the largest sport fishing event within the UAE and is gaining interest from all across the AGCC countries and the globe, following a format similar to that of its sister event, the Sinbad Classic, which has been held for five successful years in the Sultanate of Oman.
